October activities

Some playtime pictures

Coloring little pumpkins green and big pumpkins orange.

On pumpkin day we talked about circles and ovals and sorted our pumpkins into circle or ovals.

Grandma Porter is always happy to help our preschoolers.

We made Jack-o-lanterns from circles and ovals.

For snack time we nibbled circles of pumpkin bread into ovals.

Painting our black cat masks. The song goes like this: Black cat, black cat, looking for a witch. All around the night is dark as pitch. You can see because your eyes are green. Black cat, black cat, this is Halloween. Meow!

On cat day we learned about squares and rectangles. We made black cats out of squares and rectancles (with some triangle ears).

Then, we made cats to eat out of graham cracker squares and rectangles.

On triangle day, Tess wore triangles in her hair!

We made spiders out of brownie bites, pretzel sticks, and mini oreos.

Then, we made spider headbands so we could be spiders.

We did the Eensie Weensie Spider, and Little Miss Muffett.

Really, spiders belong outside!

Moms are soooo scared of spiders!

Sorry, this is the only group picture I can find of our T/Th class at Halloween. If anyone has a better group picture you can e-mail it to me and I'll replace it. evematheson@comcast.net

They were so cute! Just a little out of focus!

Our cute M/W class on Halloween!

How cute are all of these pictures. I think the mommy frightened by the big, huge, giant, scary spider is my favorite!
